The C walk was led (and photographed) by Mike Higgins. Their route headed south from Kettlewell climbing over the ridge separating the valleys of the Wharf and the Skirfare. | |||||

they cross the River Wharfe and climbed up to Moor End Fell, | |||||
getting spectacular views over Wharfedale. | |||||

Moving across Old Cote Moor to Littondale, | |||||
Descending to the village of Arncliff, the original setting for 'Emmerdale'. Here the 12 C (Rebuilt in 1500) Norman church of St Oswald provided some interest and a brief stop. | |||||

The final stretch took the group through the meadows of the River Skirfare to Hawswick, and the final climb , back over to Wharfedale and and a waiting 'Racehorse'. | |||||
