The C walk was led (and photographed) by Mike Higgins. Their route headed south from Kettlewell climbing over the ridge separating the valleys of the Wharf and the Skirfare.

Moving across Old Cote Moor to Littondale,
Descending to the village of Arncliff, the original setting for 'Emmerdale'. Here the 12 C (Rebuilt in 1500) Norman church of St Oswald provided some interest and a brief stop.

That'll teach you to laugh at me!

The final stretch took the group through the meadows of the River Skirfare to Hawswick, and the final climb , back over to Wharfedale and and a waiting 'Racehorse'.
